چکیده
Today, one of the most important issues all is supply drinking and utility water, which basic need for human beings, to be healthy reliable, economical. Some substances in natural water sources pose a danger living creatures when they exceed certain concentrations. Fluoride, can commonly found as result or industrial effects, poses various risks not only its deficiency, but also excess. Therefore, fluoride concentration should under control. Membrane Capacitive Deionization Process an effective method remove ions from water. In this study, firstly, optimum conditions have been determined by working on removal groundwater with MCDI prepared synthetically. Subsequently, groundwater, was obtained Isparta province containing 7.71 mg/L fluoride, treated membrane capacitive deionization at 99%. Groundwater has reduced below limit. For treatment, 0.06 kWh/m3 energy expensed corresponds cost $ 0.006/m3. These results are quite economical compared other methods.

Membrane capacitive deionization (MCDI) is a promising technique to achieve the desalination. This novel technique can largely improve the desalination efficiency of capacitive deionization (CDI) by introducing ion-exchange membranes into CDI. This paper presents a comparative study on the electrosorptive performances of CDI and MCDI based on single walled carbon nanotubes electrodes in NaCl so...

We explored the energy loss mechanisms in capacitive deionization (CDI). We hypothesize that resistive and parasitic losses are two main sources of energy losses. We measured contribution from each loss mechanism in water desalination with constant current (CC) charge/discharge cycling. Resistive energy loss is expected to dominate in high current charging cases, as it increases approximately l...

Capacitive deionization has been developed as a promising desalination alternative for removing ions from aqueous solutions. In this study, the evaluation of capacitive performance was carried out by galvanostatic charge/discharge and cyclic voltammetry experiments. The good capacitive and electrosorption behaviors suggest carbon aerogel not only treated as an electrical double layer capacitor,...
متن کاملTheory of membrane capacitive deionization including the effect of the electrode pore space.
Membrane capacitive deionization (MCDI) is a technology for water desalination based on applying an electrical field between two oppositely placed porous electrodes. Ions are removed from the water flowing through a channel in between the electrodes and are stored inside the electrodes. Ion-exchange membranes are placed in front of the electrodes allowing for counterion transfer from the channe...
متن کاملEffect of electrode thickness variation on operation of capacitive deionization
In capacitive deionization (CDI) water is desalinated by applying an electrical field between two porous electrodes placed on either side of a spacer channel that transports the aqueous solution. In this work we investigate the equilibrium salt adsorption and the dynamic development of the effluent salt concentration in time, both as function of spacer and electrode thicknesses. The electrode t...
